Charles originally comes from Buckinghamshire and has spent his career managing pubs and hotels.

Vicky spent 10 years in the City of London, in financial institutions. In 2002, they met, before embarking on a round the world yacht race, lasting a year. Charles came second, Vicky came third. Back on dry land, they headed to Shropshire, where Vicky comes from originally.

They purchased Hilltop in April 2004 and opened for business in the June of that year and have never looked back !

When not entertaining guest, Charles continues to sail, whilst Vicky is immersing herself in a 1 acre garden, which hadn't been touched for over six years. They love eating out ,and to work off their evenings out, they take their greyhound Dylan for long walks !
